Emily Robinson has completed production on her directorial debut Ugly Cry in Los Angeles. The body horror film, which is also written by and stars Robinson (Eighth Grade, Transparent), features Ryan Simpkins (Fear Street: 1978, Brigsby Bear), Aaron Dominguez (Only Murders in the Building, Shaft) and Robin Tunney (By Design, The Craft, Empire Records).

The film stars Sierra McCormick, previously seen in Slamdance award winner “The Vast of Night.” The film is from writer-director duo Sophia Sabella and Pablo Feldman, who are making their feature-length narrative debut. McCormick plays a teen going through the seemingly unbearable trials and tribulations of growing up.
